- C language is general purpose high level language. Design by originally "Dennis M. Ritchie" at AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey in 1972.
- C language derived from prior language called "B"(BCPL-Basic combined programming language ).
- C language was created for implementing UNIX operating system
- in 1978 Dennis Ritchie & Brian Kernighan publish the first edition "The C Programming Language” and commonly known as K&R C.
